The experience in mapping the disturbance of soil-vegetation cover (in the vicinity of the Pokachi town, West Siberia)

Annotation
This article presents the results of vegetation studies near Pokachi town (the Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Okrug – Yugra). This work was done to support a preservation of the archaeological and other cultural objects under intensive oil extraction and increasing recreational load. The goal of the complex investigations was to establish a place of interest the “Neh-Uriy”. The study area is located in the eastern part of the Surgut lowland that belongs to the Middle Ob lowland of Western Siberia. The study of natural complexes and thematic mapping was carried out in the flood-plain and fluvial terrace of the Agan River (61 km
2). The field data and high resolution satellite images were used to make the vegetation map and the map of vegetation disturbance.
