Abstract

The article presents information about the first finding of Pholiota mucigera in Russia from the Koygorodskiy National Park (Komi Republic, north-east of the European part of Russia). It differs from other species of the genus Pholiota by the absence of cystidia and the presence of small spores without germ pore. The species is associated with old-growth, undisturbed mixed forests and grows on Populus tremula wood. For the studied specimen, ITS and LSU sequences were obtained and deposited in the international GenBank database.
