Abstract

The section Eriostomum (Hoffmanns. et Link) Dumort. of the genus Stachys L. is taxonomically revised. The section is represented by 30 species and 15 subspecies classified into 3 subsections: Spectabiles R. Bhattacharjee (5 species), Germanicae (Boiss.) R. Bhattacharjee (23 species), Libanoticae Krestovsk. (2 species). The data on ecology, geographical distribution and types are given. 2 new taxonomical combinations are given. Lectotypes of the names of 3 species and 1 variety are designated.
