On the genera Phragmites Adans. and Cleistogenes Keng (Poaceae) in Russia

Abstract

The genera Phragmites Adans. and Cleistogenes Keng in Russia are critically revised. Phragmites includes 7 species in Russia, Cleistogenes — 11 species. 4 species of Phragmites (P. nakaianus Honda, P. longivalvis Steud., P. flavescens (Custer) Hegetschw., P. stenophyllus (Boiss.) Rouy) and 2 species of Cleistogenes (C. probatovae Tzvelev sp. nova, C. polyphylla Keng ex Keng f. et L. Liu) are reported in Russia for the first time. Cleistogenes sect. Ophioides Tzvelev sect. nova is described.
