Abstract

In the genus Stachys L., the names of 5 new sections are published: sect. Annuae (R. Bhattacharjee) Krestovsk. stat. nov., sect. Distantes (R. Bhattacharjee) Krestovsk. stat. nov., sect. Rectae (R. Bhattacharjee) Krestovsk. stat. nov., sect. Rosulatae Krestovsk. sect. nova (type: S. diversifolia Boiss.), and sect. Spinosae (R. Bhattacharjee) Krestovsk. stat. nov. Within the section Calostachys Benth., 2 new subsections are described: subsect. Coriaceifoliae Krestovsk. subsect. nova (type: S. thunbergii Benth.) and subsect. Ornithophilae Krestovsk. subsect. nova (type: S. ciliata Douglas ex Benth.). A new monotypic genus Koevia Krestovsk. gen. nov. (including K. serbica (Pančić) Krestovsk. comb. nova. = Stachys serbica Pančić) is described.
