Annotation

From April 27 to May 2, 2010 at the University of Pécs (Hungary) held its 19th meeting on the study of vegetation of Europe (EVS). Such meetings are held annually in different countries of Europe under the auspices and with the support of the International Association for vegetation science (IAVS). The meeting was devoted to a detailed study of flora, vegetation and environment in order to develop scientific bases of rational land use. In addition, there were proposed two sub-themes covered in the thematic sessions: «The vegetation of the floodplains and river valleys of Europe» and «The Application of ecological scales and errors in their use». The meeting was organized in 10 thematic sessions, 3 poster sessions, organizational meetings of the working groups EVS and Botanical excursions.
