Annotation
This book is dedicated to the life and academic career of Assistant Professor of Uman National University of Horticulture and Candidate of Biological Sciences, Victor Antonovych Havryliuk (28.01.1928–26.11.2005). He was a botanist, lecturer and expert of encyclopedic knowledge, with a high mental capacity and wonderful and complex personality. He was relatively unknown in Ukraine until now, but well known among the global community of Arctic flora researches.
The chapters in this book describe the life journey of V. A. Havryliuk and his contribution to botanical science. The diaries he kept in the course of his lifetime with descriptions of the most important events and field reports, the most interesting letters from enormous epistolary heritage of V. A. Havryliuk as well as memoirs of his colleagues, students and followers are presented in the book.
