Study of the diversity of vascular plants and vegetation cover of the Far North of Russia, local and regional floras, and their parameters.
Comprehensive analysis of the parameters of local and regional floras of the Russian Arctic and Subarctic based on the network of local floras.
Identification of trends in changes in the structure of local and regional floras.
Spatial differentiation of vegetation cover and floristic zoning of the northern territories.
Long-term monitoring (tracking changes) of the local flora of the northern regions.
Study of the state of vegetation cover and the degree of its disturbance under anthropogenic and natural influences, problems of restoration of disturbed habitats and overgrowth of anthropogenic habitats.
Identification of species and communities in need of protection.
