Education and work experience:

1982 — graduated from Leningrad Forest Engineering Academy named after S. M. Kirov awarded with the order of Lenin, the chair of forestry, the course of urban gardening. Qualification paper “Irises in urban gardening of Leningrad”.
1976–1982 — senior laboratory technician at V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences.
1982–1998 — senior agrotechnician at V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute of the USSR Academy of Sciences (since 1991 — the Russian Academy of Sciences).
1993 — internship in Germany at Hamburg Botanical Garden.
1997 — studying at the Attingham Summer School, Great Britain.
2000–2004 — PhD school at V.L. Komarov Botanical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. PhD thesis “Species of Iris genus in Russia. The problems of preservation in situ and introduction” (scientific advisor: R.V. Kamelin, DSc, Biol., Corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences), 2005.
